The Kogi State House of Assembly has approved the appointment of Hon. Timothy Ojoma as the new Commissioner for Agriculture.
The eight Assembly gave the approval during the house plenary held in Lokoja on Wednesday.
Ajuma replaces former Commissioner David Apeh who was sacked for Anti party activities by Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State.
The Kogi State Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello sent his name to the house for the Assembly screen him.
During the screening of the Commissioner, the member representing Ibaji Local Government Area said Hon. Ojoma has what it takes to make the ministry to move forward.
In her submission, She appealed to her colleagues for the nominee to the Commissioner to take a bow and go, which was granted by members of the house.
Speaking with Assembly Correspondent, the newly appointed Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources said he will ensure mechanized agriculture at against subsistence practice in the State.
He promised to boost food security during his stay in office.
