The crisis between Igue Ero and Iwu Communities, all in Ovia North East local government Area of Edo State have taken a new dimension as the house of the son of the odionwele Igue Ero , Charles Egharevba was invaded by unknown gun men at the early hours of 9th Saturday 2021.
The suspected gun men were said to have stormed the Odionwele ‘s son resident at about 1. 30am , shooting and breaking doors in order to force their way into the compound.
Narrating the incident, the son of the Odionwele, Charles Egharevba, said, the men came in two Hilux Vehicles to his house and gained entrance by breaking the gate into his apartment and that of his neighbours which was not spared.
According to him, ” my parlour and rooms were turned upside down with the sum of 2.260m naira which the community kept with me for the building of the primary school and grading of the road were removed.
The suspected gunmen which I was later told in the day by my lawyer were Police men from anti kidnapping department .
” we have been having dispute with Iwu Community and Osasogie Osasele have been threaten my life, He has been threatening us because Government have stopped CDA which he has always be feeding on”
Egharevba called on the state government and the Omo -No Oba, Oba Ewuare 11, to come to his aid as his life is under threat.
