APC Holds Orderly, Peaceful, Ward Congress In Yagba East LGA – Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris


 

The All Progressives Congress Party Ward Congress holding in Yagba East LGA of Kogi State has begun on a good note, as party members were seen in Orderly manner, while the distribution of party materials recorded a hitch free process.

The Nigerianpost roving crew witnessed the presence of the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, who where on the ground to also observe and monitor the exercise.

According to Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris, Kogi State Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, the exercise has been smooth with the atmosphere very calm, described the peaceful exercise as a product of party decision.

According to the Commissioner for finance, the party is adopting the affirmation option in its Ward Congress, described the party’s decision as supreme, lauded the orderliness the exercise is witnessing.

Hon. Asiru said aside those who got political appointments, some deceased persons, and those who have left the party that would be replaced, said the exercise is largely to affirm the previous officers for working hard for the party.

The Commissioner commended the people of the area for their peaceful conduct and dispositions to the exercise, appreciated them for accepting the APC as party of choice, said all the stakeholders were carried along in the Congress decision.

Earlier, the Acting Women Leader Kogi West distributed the congress materials to the Ward acting Chairmen at APC Secretariat Yagba East Isanlu.

The INEC officers, security personnel along with party stalwart witnessed the exercise in the presence of the Executive Chairman Yagba East who also double as the Chairman of Congress Committee for the LGA, Hon Abdulrasaq Asiru Ijagbemi.
The Acting APC Chairman of the LGA, Hon Kehinde Ate was also on the ground to ensure that the party’s decision was adhered to without fear or favour .
