Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim calls for quick resolution of ongoing ASUU strike


 

Called to run 2023 Kogi Governorship as he bags Doctorate degree

 

Kogi PDP stalwart, on Saturday, February 26, 2022; was conferred with Doctorate degree on International Affairs by Africa Theological Education Network, in Lokoja, Kogi State capital.

Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim is a politician who is very huge on human capital development and he has been very passionate about the betterment of Kogi State, for this reason he sought to govern the State in 2019. Yet again, as the 2023 polls draw close, the philanthropist has yet again been called upon to consider running again for the Office of Governor of Kogi State.

Speaking at the sidelines of the conferment event, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim called on the university system in Nigeria to do more in terms of research and proffering of solutions to problems bedeviling the country and the world at large.

“In no little term I condemn the ongoing ASUU strike. I call on the ASUU members and the Federal Government to immediately return to the negotiation table and find lasting end to this unending strike action usually embarked upon by the ASUU members. Very urgently, our children and our students must return to the classrooms. Frequent disruption of academic calendars must end now,” Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim said regarding the ongoing ASUU strike.

The event which took place at the Federal University of Lokoja had in attendance friends, supporters and well-wishers of Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim, from across the 21 Local Governments of Kogi State as well as his friends, well-wishers and supporters from across the country and beyond…..
