As this year’s Christmas celebration draws nearer, the chieftain of the all progressive congress (APC) who doubles as the senior special assistant to the Governor on Rice Mill Hon. Abel Nwozaka has advised the people of Ebonyi State not to panic over the rising cost of rice in the market as the State Governor Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru is ever ready to provide enough rice and other Christmas largesse for the residents of the State.
He gave the admonition while interacting with newsmen in his office old Government house Abakaliki, the State capital.
He disclosed that the adminstration of Governor Nwifuru is anchored on the people and as such he has magnanimously mapped out huge amount of money for buying of rice that would reach everyone in the State.
According to him” I want to tell Ebonyians not to go into panicking because of the high cost of rice in the market, our wonder working Governor His Excellency Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru is ready to provide enough rice for Ebonyians in the upcoming Christmas celebration”
“In no distant time now the distribution of the Christmas rice will start and everybody must get his or her own”
He attributed the high cost of rice in the market to the persistent increase of gas and farming inputs and expressed optimism that it would soon be a thing of the past.
“Millers used gas to mill rice and a litre of gas is sold 1200 now and farm inputs is on the increase on the daily basis, those things are contributing to the high cost of rice in the market” he said
The Governor’s aide who frowned on the untold hardship faced by Nigerians, Ebonyians inclusive as result of fuel subsidy removal, expressed hope that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would address the challenges soon to reduce the sufferings of the poor masses.
He however called on Ebonyians to remain supportive to the policies and programmes of the State Governor for the realization of his peoples charter of needs manifesto.
While congratulating the Governor on his resounding victory at the appeal court sitting in Lagos State, the Governor’s aide enjoined litigants to shun further litigations and join hands with Governor Nwifuru to take the State to the global map of development.
