The Yomikola campaign organization has denounced the “rantings and self‑illusion of a non‑existent APC Youth Vanguard” in Kabba‑Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, calling it the product of a poisoned political mind.
In a statement signed by spokesperson Johnson Philip Orimolade, the group recalled how Prince Mathew Kolawole would have won the House of Representatives election if it hadn’t been “abruptly and criminally stolen.
They lamented the dismal representation the constituency has endured for years, but say Kolawole’s candidacy has rekindled hope—“like the stock‑exchange market rebounding.”
They praised the massive, organic turnout at Kolawole’s official flag‑off, describing the crowd’s tears of joy as proof that the “mass movement to rescue the stolen mandate is irreversible.”
The group also criticized the incumbent, Arch. Salmon Idris, labeling his two‑year tenure as the worst in the constituency’s history: no visible office, no constituency meetings, and billions of Naira in project funds allegedly misplaced. They contrasted this with Kolawole’s “most rewarding” speakership, citing tangible projects and stability.
Concluding, Yomikola campaign organization asserted that if performance, loyalty, and grassroots support are the criteria, Prince Kolawole is “already home and dry,” while Arch. Salmon’s chances are “as dim as darkness.”
