The Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has been praised for his high sense of patriotism in crisis management and Youth inclusiveness in Governance.
Amb. Mahmud Abubakar, North Central Coordinator, Youth Crisis Awareness and Peace Forum YCAPF, commended Gov. Yahaya Bello for Empowering the youths and lauded his efforts in security which has to a large extend made the state peaceful.
Amb. Mahmud Abubakar, made the commendation at the official inauguration of the State Executives of YCAPF, urged youths in the State to always advocate for peace, described peace as a veritable ingredients not negotiable in any Society.
He urged the new Executives of YCAPF in the State to avoid violence, insisting that the youths are worst affected in times of crisis.
Highlights of the occasion was the official inauguration of the Executives, with Saaed Omeiza as State Chairman, with Hauwa Usman as secretary.
In a paper titled ” The Role of Youth in Crisis Management” presented by Comr. Jimoh Abubakar, described crisis in any Society as inevitable, but urged the youths to always bring to bear the essentials of crisis management in managing conflicts.
He advised youths to have employ crisis managers in crisis management, form crisis team to work with Leadership of crisis managers amongst others in managing crisis.
In his welcome remarks, Amb. Saaed Omeiza, said YCAPF will hit the ground running in building peace platforms, maintained that no Society thrives in an atmosphere of violence and rancour.
