Ahead of 2023 national assembly election, prominent yagba youth leaders and opinion leaders have backed the ambition of the yagba born philanthropist ,Engr.Folorunsho Olafemi,Founder of Folorunsho Olafemi Foundation.
The support came last weekend in yagba west local government during a youths stakeholders meeting across yagba land and attended by the representative of okun youth monitoring group, prominent political youth leaders and stakeholders across yagba federal constituency.
In his welcome address at the meeting with the theme.”Power must change hands in yagba federal constituency”the coordinator of Folorunsho Olafemi youth advocate, Arakunrin Opeyemi Fatola describes Folorunsho Olafemi as a man who helps people birth their visions,Agba Oye has paid his dues,he has done alot for the good people of yagba land through his foundation that caters for widows,aged women, indigents students,less privilege and youths, empowering the less privilege is part of his habits that we can’t take away from him,if we recalled,he empowered widows across yagba land during December festive period last year with 5kg bag of semovita,a pack of maggi,six yard of ankara and live chicken each,as if that is not enough engr.folorunsho Olafemi in his capacity and with the support of his friends and business associates empowered twelve youths across yagba land with capital to start their businesses, today we are proud of them because they utilize the resources given to them well.
Arakunrin seeks for the support of the three local government youth leaders across yagba land to rally round this vibrant and visionary young man,whom he said,has passion for yagba,the interest of yagba on how it could progress was always on the mind of Engr.Folorunsho Olafemi.
The gathering got goodwill messages from political parties youth leaders,Representatives of women, youth, including Yagba people in Abuja,lokoja,kwara participated in the meeting.
In the communiqué issued at the end of the meeting, the participants resolved to work with politicians from the three local government in yagba federal constituency to offer genuine representative for the good people of yagba land.
They are also to engage continually with the political leadership in yagba federal constituency to seek for their support and for the welfare of yagba people.
