WWT Rolls Out Grassroots Mobilization Across 239 Wards in Kogi for Tinubu’s Re-election

WWT Rolls Out Grassroots Mobilization Across 239 Wards in Kogi for Tinubu’s Re-election

The Win With Tinubu (WWT) Grassroots Mobilization Program has announced the official flag-off of its statewide ward mobilization across the 239 electoral wards in Kogi State, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The State Program Coordinator, Hon. Sani Philips, disclosed this on Thursday at a press conference in Lokoja themed “Re-engineering Grassroots Politics in Kogi State.”

Philips said the press briefing was to herald the second phase of the WWT mobilization drive, review the just concluded Federal Constituency town hall meetings, and unveil the next phase of its grassroots framework for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State.

He commended the leadership of the APC in the state led by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, and key stakeholders including Senator Sunday Karimi, representing Kogi West and Chairman of WWT, and Senator Jibrin Isah (Echocho), representing Kogi East and Co-Chairman of WWT, for their support in driving the first phase.

According to him, the first phase which focused on town hall meetings across federal constituencies, was designed to communicate the policies and achievements of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and to lay the foundation for a broader mobilization network.

“While such meetings provide important opportunities for engagement, sustainable mobilization requires functional structures that maintain contact with the people,” Philips said.

He announced that the official inauguration of the WWT Local Government and Ward Executive structures will hold simultaneously across all 239 wards in the state on Sunday, 1st November, 2026.

Philips explained that Phase Two will focus on five key deliverables: Ward-Level Coordination, Policy Communication, Community Engagement, Volunteer Mobilization, and Monitoring, Reporting and Accountability.

He stressed that the exercise was not about creating positions but building a formidable structure capable of taking mobilization directly to communities and translating engagement into lawful votes.

Clarifying the status of the group, the State Coordinator said: “The Win With Tinubu Grassroots Mobilization Program for Kogi State is not a campaign council. It is a structured grassroots mobilization program dedicated to mobilizing grassroots support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC National Assembly candidates in Kogi State.”

He said the program would adopt a bottom-up approach, growing from wards through local governments to the state level, and would remain peaceful, voluntary and free from intimidation, coercion or inducement.

Philips reaffirmed the group’s commitment to discipline, transparency, factual messaging and respect for democratic rights, urging the media to distinguish between announced plans, ongoing activities and verified results in their reportage.

He called on stakeholders, supporters and volunteers to embrace the mission and work collectively towards victory for the APC in 2027.

“From the grassroots to the ballot box, our commitment remains: organization, communication, and democratic participation,” he added.
