WWT, NAKOSS Explore Partnerships in Youth Engagement and Voter Education

Lokoja, Kogi State — September 7, 2026

The Coordinator of the Win With Tinubu (WWT) Grassroots Mobilization Programme in Kogi State, Hon.Sani Philips has held a strategic meeting with the leadership of the National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOS), led by its National President, Comrade Sunday Adeola Simon, as part of efforts to deepen grassroots engagement and build strategic partnerships ahead of the 2027 general elections in the state.

The meeting focused on exploring areas of partnership between WWT and NAKOSS, particularly in mobilising the student community across Kogi State to support the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, representing Kogi West Senatorial District.

Speaking during the meeting, the Hon. Sani said students constitute a critical component of the state’s youthful population and must be deliberately brought into conversations around leadership, governance and democratic participation.

“Our partnership will be anchored on engagement, voter education, responsible mobilisation and the need to support leadership that aligns with our vision for progress.”

“We believe that when young people are properly informed and organised, they can become a powerful force for positive democratic outcomes.”

Also speaking, the National President of NAKOS, Comrade Sunday Adeola Simon, welcomed the initiative and expressed the association’s readiness to engage with WWT in areas that advance the interests of Kogi students and encourage responsible participation in the electoral process.

The engagement forms part of WWT’s broader strategy of building strategic partnerships with organised groups, youth bodies, women organisations and other stakeholders in pursuit of effective grassroots mobilisation and support for its political objectives ahead of the 2027 general elections.
