WORLD BANK, FPMU TEAM ARRIVES KOGI FOR ENGINEERING SUPPORT MISSION

A team from the World Bank and the Federal Project Management Unit (FPMU) is in Kogi State on an Engineering support Mission to review progress on ongoing Civil Works, assess compliance with approved Engineering Designs, and identify technical issues needing support [1].

Led by Engr. Ayo Odebiyi of the World Bank, the team aims to ensure project implementation and sustainability, acknowledging Kogi’s efforts in gully stabilization. The Project Accountant welcomed the team, appreciating the World Bank and FPMU’s support, citing Gov. Ahmed Usman Ododo’s commitment to reducing land degradation [2].

The mission includes Musa Ayanwola and Ugo Onyedikachi, FPMU Engineers. It’s hoped the visit will reveal strategies for project sustainability, ensuring investments serve their purpose and repay the loan [3].

ACReSAL (Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes) focuses on environmental resilience and sustainable development in Kogi State [1].
