….Makes case to employers for improved workers welfare
Lokoja/Kogi Reps Member, Hon. Shaba Ibrahim has reached out to constituents with a view to commending them on their resilience despite the harsh work environment many of them are faced with on almost every work day.
Specially he rated highly the Kogi State Civil Service workers and the Local Government workers in the constituency. He said inspite of the harsh work environment we find ourselves today, they are still able to deliver on their jobs, as workers.
The lawmaker noted strongly the fact that civil servants are the backbone of the success of any Government administration, right from the federal level down to the local level of Government, hence their key role in any Government or stable work environment cannot be over-emphasized.
“Continue to remain diligent in your services to your employers, be in you in the public sector or in the private sector. I am sure that in due course of time, your good works will not go unnoticed and unrewarded,” Hon. Shaba noted in his workers day message.
“I want to also use this opportunity to implore all employers both in the public sector and in the private sector to take the issue of workers’ welfare serious, as a motivated worker is a worker that can easily deliver on his or her job schedule,” the lawmaker further added.
