Christians have been called upon to work towards making eternity their permanent abode.
Pastor Isaac Solomon of United Evangelical Church, Alloma made the call in a sermon at the burial of a Retired Director Programmes of Radio Kogi, Elder Alifa Stephen at Alloma, Ofu Local Government Area on Saturday.
Pastor Solomon who quoted extensively from the Bible described the life of this world as temporary and asked the congregation to emulate the life of Elder Stephen Alifa while alive.
The Pastor used the opportunity to pray for the family of the deceased for strength to bear the loss of their breadwinner.
In a remark at the burial, the Director General of Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation, Alhaji Hassan Oyila Ozovehe represented by the Corporation Secretary, Alhaji Suleiman Dansoho, described the Late Alifa Stephen as a seasoned Broadcaster who carved a niche for himself in Broadcast Programming before he retired, adding that he was humble and committed to his career.
Alhaji Oyila Ozovehe promised continued assistance to the family of the deceased stressing that his contributions to the upliftment of Broadcast content will not be forgotten.
The occasion featured testimonies from various groups including the Church, Ochaja Old Boys, his family and some serving and retired staff of Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation.
