Women Pledge Support For Hon. Sunday Karimi’s Aspiration


 

Assures of women empowerment, developmental projects

The Chairperson of Kogi Arewa Women in Action, Hajia Usman Nafisat Larei has assured of women support for people whose aspirations tends towards support and development of Women in the State.

The Chairperson made the remarks while appreciating Hon. Sunday Karimi’s support to the group, described him as a reliable and consistent support for women.

Hajia Usman Nafisat Larei made the remarks at the maiden launching of Almanac and Fund Raising of the association towards supporting the Girl Child Education held at the children’s amusement park in lokoja.

While assuring that her group has observed with kin interest the women and developmental strides of Hon. Karimi, urged him to continue in his good stead of supporting issues of women.

She promised that at the appropriate time, the women will speak with their votes, stressed that Hon. Karimi has endeared himself to the hearts of Kogi West Women, having made positive impact on their well-being.

She assured that her association would work with other women groups in the state to reciprocate the kind gestures of Karimi through their support and votes for his Senatorial ambition.

Also speaking at the event, the State Commissioner for Women affairs and social development Hajia Fatima Kabiru Buba commended the association for the initiative and thanked Sunday Karimi for his magnanimity.

Earlier in his remarks, Hon. Sunday Karimi, Kogi West Senatorial Hopeful pledged his continued support for the growth and development of Kogi Arewa Women in Action.

Represented by his personal aide Hon Sanjo Orebiyi, Karimi made a cash donation of three hundred thousand naira (N300,000) to the course of the Association and promised that he will continue to do more for the women association going forward.

Hon. Karimi expressed his passion about women’s emancipation and empowerment, including the educational development of the girl child, promised to do more.

He added that he is ever ready to contribute his quota to the wellbeing of women.
