Women Empowerment: HRH, Onumoko II Commends FAWASS

The Fairwin Women Association (FAWASS) has been recognized for their exceptional work in empowering women economically and politically within Kogi State. HRH Aliyu Abdullahi Ismaila Onumoko II, the esteemed ADUDI-OBOMBOM designate of Esusu Okengwen Ehi, gave the commendation in a statement released and sent to jpurnalists in Kogi State.

While acknowledging their significant contribution to society with focus on economic empowerment, he said FAWASS has played a vital role in equipping women with the skills, resources, and support needed to become financially self-reliant. Through various programs and initiatives, countless women have been able to establish their own businesses, secure livelihoods, and actively contribute to the economic growth of their communities.

According to him, in addition to their economic endeavors, FAWASS has also been instrumental in raising the voices of women in the political landscape of Kogi State. By cultivating leadership skills and encouraging participation in governance, the association has paved the way for women to assume pivotal roles in decision-making and political leadership. This progress is pivotal for achieving gender equality and inclusive development in Kogi State.

He said the dedication and commitment of FAWASS to empowering women are truly inspiring. Their impactful work has transformed the lives of individual women, enhanced societal inclusivity, promoted diversity, and fostered equality.

HRH Aliyu Abdullahi Ismaila Onumoko II urges all stakeholders, including government bodies, community leaders, and private sector partners, to continue their support for FAWASS and similar organizations. By working together, we can create an environment where women have equal opportunities to contribute to the socio-economic and political advancement of Kogi State.

“As we celebrate FAWASS’s achievements, let us remain steadfast in our commitment to a vision of a society where every woman is empowered, respected, and valued for her contributions. Together, we can uplift the women of our state and pave the way for a brighter future, he noted.
