Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu said and I quote, “seeking the office of the president has been my lifelong ambition”.
I am not prejudiced to him trying to fulfill his lifelong ambition, but the precedence he has set in Lagos State since he came to power in 1999 doesn’t need to remind us that he is merely self-seeking, and not interested in the overall development of the nation.
Let be known that the nation at its current peril needs someone with a disposition that is congruent with the realities and is determined to clean the mess and install a functional system that will pave the way for advancement in technology like other civilised climes in the world. We don’t need a president that will continue to impoverish the people which Tinubu, without seeking prognostication from a soothsayer, has been found over the years to be one with self-seeking mentality. We also want a president that will unite the country, and Tinubu, being a tribalised bigot, will only widen the gab of disunity of all ethnic conclaves if voted as president.
Also, we need a president whose parentage and educational certificates are not smeared in controversy and scandalous tales. Till now, Tinubu has not been able to clear the mess about his Toronto University Certificate. The more he tries to, the more he opens more can of worms about it. There’s an investigative reporting conducted at the department he claimed to have attended at the Toronto University which outrightly disclaimed Tinubu from ever attending the school in my archive. I’ll release it at the appropriate time.
We need a president we can proud ourselves with in health and otherwise. Not Tinubu, who will encourage medical tourism abroad to continually rip off our collective patrimony, as his health condition is also smeared in controversy like his installed president, PMB.
However, Tinubu has been acknowledged as a kingmaker. In simple term, a kingmaker doesn’t ascend the throne, he sits in consultation with others to make a king. Now that he has thrown his hat in the ring regarding his presidential ambition, it is obvious he has jettisoned his kingmaker’s status which is contrary to the tenets of kingmakership or it is a disposition he had foisted upon himself, ignorantly which of course, is shameful for a personality of his standing.
Tinubu is old and and losing health seriously. The office of the president of Nigeria is challenging, as well as demanding. You can see the mess and the national embarrassment PMB has caused the nation with his failing health. Certainly, Tinubu is in this mould and we must collectively reject him, if we’re interested in the nation overcoming its current challenges.
