Without any iota of modicum and primordia sentiment, It is pertinent to make clear the conceptual definition of the concept Oma-Oja before I proceed.
The word “Oma-Oja” is an Igala concept that literally denote as ‘A Person Accepted By All’. And it is rare for people to bear such name in the Igala extraction.
It will equally interest you to know that for someone to bear such a title, he must have exhibited outstandingly enormous quality and has contributed selflessly to the development of the people through humanity, such a person must be accessible by the people and always comes through for the people.
shockingly, it is a title many prominent sons and daughters of Igala extraction and friends lobbied hardly, some are ready to go the lane to pay as much as they can to get but many don’t easily succeed.
Fortunately and deservingly, our own illustrious son and Leader who hailed from the traditional headquarters of Igala kingdom, Hon. Alhaji Alfa Halilu is been honored by the people today and he is largely known and called as the Oma-Oja 1 of Igala kingdom. Although this development came as a result of his remarkable vision and examplary leadership. Over the years, he has exhibited uncommon wisdom and has proven himself time without end to be a leader of ethics and morality, through his unalloyed contributions to the development of our dear nation.
It is on this note i made bold to reflect on his acceptance by the people. It is evidence that the people’s continual testimony to the magnanimity of Hon. Alhaji Alfa Halilu from the student’s community, women and youth angle of our dear state is a testament to his service to the people of God through his little way.
