The Executive Director, Conscience For Human Rights and Conflict Resolution, Comr. Idris Miliki has challenge Government of Kogi State on the whereabout of the Street lights it inherited.

Comr. Miliki in a statement said aside beautifying the city, street lights help in providing safety and security.

He however lamented and wondered what happened to the inherited street lights in Lokoja by the present administration.

The activist said it is worrisome that several months of no explanation to the people of Kogi State on the whereabout of the street lights that where removed, said that they seem to have gone into thin air.

Comr. Miliki said regrettably even the few once fixed by the present administration along NTA round about to Kogi Hotel he noted were removed completely about 7:30pm on the 8th of March 2022.

He therefore challenge the commissioner for works and Housing in Kogi State to explain to the people of the state the rational behind the removal of the street lights in Lokoja for several months with out returning and fixing them…. Continue reading
