‘We’re Ready To Hit The Ground Running‘ – Aguye  


 

 

The member representing Lokoja/Kogi Federal State Constituency, Hon. Sulaiman Danladi Aguye, has said that the newly inaugurated 10th National Assembly members were ready to hit the ground running.

 

Aguye said this on Saturday in his country home, Karara in Lokoja local government area of Kogi State during the reception he organized for his constituents after the inauguration ceremony of the  National Assembly.

He noted that the members have all resolved to fulfill their social contract with their constituents by ensuring that there will not be discrimination in the constituencies in project distribution.

According to him, the House of Representatives  members have resolved to promote laws that will positively touch the lives of the citizens of the country.

“To this end, we will make sure that town hall meetings are held regularly to update our constituents of the State of affairs in the governance of the country, ” he said.

Aguye thanked the Almighty God for making it possible for him to succeed and in the same vein expressed gratitude to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State for giving him the opportunity to contest on the party’s platform.

“I also thank men, women and youths of Lokoja/Kogi federal constituency for their commitment to the mandate, I promise not to take them for granted, ” he said.

The reception was attended by “who is who” in Lokoja and Kogi local government areas including the Speaker, Rt Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf, representative of the Governorship Candidate of the APC, Usman Ahmed Ododo, the Executive Chairman of Lokoja LGA, Hon Muhammed Dan’Asabe Muhammed, traditional rulers, traders and many other dignitaries.
