The first lady of Ebonyi State Chief (Mrs) Mary Maudline Uzoamaka Nwifuru has assured that her pet project BERWO foundation would continue to implement programmes that support children’s health, education nutrition and protection in the State.

She gave the assurance during the International children’s day celebration held at Pa-Ngele Oruta township stadium Abakaliki, the State capital.

Mrs Nwifuru expressed deep commitment to the protection, empowerements and development of every child across the State, especially the vulnerable and indigent ones by ensuring improved access to health care and education among others.

The first lady warned against child abuse, neglect, trafficking and all forms of violence against children, vowing to ensure that no child is left behind.

Nwifuru’s wife further encouraged Ebonyi children to remain focus, disciplined and hopeful and also pursue their education with determination and understand that their dreams are valid and achieveable.
“You are destined for greatness, if you are suffering any form of violence, speak up and you will be protected,”

She urged parents, guardians and caregivers to continue to nurture their children with love, discipline and intentional guidance while commending teacher’s dedication to shaping the minds and character of the future leaders.

“As we celebrate today, let us embrace the call for inclusion. Let us build a society where every child, regardless of physical ability, gender or background is given equal opportunity to learn, grown and succeed. Inclusion is not just a goal, it is a responsibility that we all must uphold” she said
