The Government of Federal Republic of Nigeria has applied for Credit from International Development Association (IDA) towards the implementation of Community and Social Development Project (CSDP) in the country and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this Credit to the payment for the Service of the vacant Positions.
The Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency (KGCSDA) the implementation Agency for the CSDP within Kogi State now invites Expression of interest from eligible candidates for the following positions:
A. PERSONS SPECIFICATIONS AND PRINCIPAL DUTIES
(1) Operations Officer (1No.):
(i) Qualifications:
First Degree or HND in Engineering, Social Sciences, Biological and Natural Sciences, Business Administration, Accountancy or related field with at least one year post qualification experience in any area. Computer literacy and willingness to learn and work extra hours and on week-ends is a must.
(ii) Duties of Operations Officer (OO):
• Facilitate communities to undertake needs assessment and prioritization that are socially inclusive and environmentally sustainable;
• Facilitate communities in the formulation of CDPs and GDPs;
• Build capacity of the CPMCs, LGRC Desk Officers as appropriate, through providing training in requisite areas e.g. Participatory Rural Appraisals (PRAs), record, and book – keeping, project management, mainstreaming gender, environment and natural resources issues etc, as identified by the Project Officer – IEC and Training ;
• Supervise the implementation of the CDPs to ensure quality assurance,
• Ensure timely replenishment of accounts of the CPMCs;
• Collect, collate and forward to the M&E Department, information/data on micro-project activities in communities;
• Submission of monthly, quarterly and annual departmental reports to M&E Department on schedule, through the Manager, Operations;
• Set monthly and quarterly performance targets based on the work plan;
• Submit regular reports to the Project Officer or relevant section for whose activity they are deployed at any point in time;
• Responsible to the Project Officer, Supervision.
(2) Security (1No):
(1) Qualification: First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) or WASC attempt; Retired Military or Police personnel. Ability to read and write in English language.
Duties of a Security:
• To protect lives and interest of staff of the Agency at work from external intruders.
• To protect facilities and properties of the Agency or persons from fire, theft and willful destruction.
• Safeguard confidential information and classified materials.
• To carry out any security measures and policies as authorized by the Management of the Agency.
