The owner of popular Cheapest Kiddies supermarket, Mrs Funke Ayodele, is still in the custody of her abductors.
Ayodele, an industrious female entrepreneur, was kidnapped in front of her residence around Old Poly Quarters in Lokoja on Wednesday night.
According to a family source who craved anonymity, she was reportedly accosted at the gate of her house while returning from her shop when she was about to enter her compound by four armed men who dragged her out from her car and whisked her away to an unknown destination.
A family source noted that the woman was picked up around 9 pm by her abductors who were alleged to be trailing her from her shop located at Lokongoma Housing Eastate Phase II area in Lokoja.
The source added that the abductors called the family on Thursday demanding for 30 million Naira ransom to secure her release. As at time of press, family source said they are now demanding N10m.
He said the abductors communicated with the family in Yoruba language.
Kogi State Police Command’s spokesman, SP William Ovye-Aya who responded to call when he was contacted to confirm the incident said the command is yet to have any report of the abduction.
