The Federal Road Safety Kogi State Command has confirmed that three persons died in the tanker explosion in Felele.
The Sector Commander, Stephen Dwalu, also confirmed that the tanker was carrying diesel, added that many persons were injured in the inferno.
The tanker which exploded at about 10:00pm Monday night around the felele area of Lokoja.
The Sector Commander attributed the accident to over speeding, cautioned drivers against over such practice.
