The immediate past Member representing Ijumu Constituency in Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Olusola Kilani Olumo says the proposed establishment of University of Okun should be located in Iyara, Headquarters of Ijumu Local Government Area.
Hon. Kilani in a statement said the best location for the University is Ijumu Anglican Science Secondary School (IASS) Iyara which has the facility and strategic location to host a University of such Calibre.
He urged the State Government Committee set up to look into the establishment of the Higher Institution of learning to visit the School for inspection.
The former Lawmaker however lauded Governor Yahaya Bello for his foresight at establishing the University, describing him as a Record Breaker.
