UMAR MUHAMMED EMERGES CHAIRMAN, KOGI NSCDC COOPERATIVE SOCIETY.


 

A Deputy Superintendent of Corps, Umar Muhammed has emerged Chairman of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Kogi State.

 

Umar Muhammed polled three hundred and two votes to emerge victorious, beating his closest rival, Ibrahim Ismaila who polled one hundred and seventy votes.

The incumbent, Monday Janagwu however, got one hundred and eighteen votes to loose the chairmanship seat.

Speaking to newsmen after announcing the results, the new Chairman, Umar Muhammed promised to change the tide by being transparent and accountable to members of the Cooperative society.

Umar Muhammed who outlined his policy thrust, assured that he will work hard to justify the much confidence bestowed on him.

According to him, ‘my victory is victory for all, hence efforts will be intensified to enhance the welfare of members in its entirety’.

The new Kogi State NSCDC Cooperative Chairman expressed appreciation to the members for their overwhelming support and the electoral committee for doing a decent job.

Umar Muhammed also thanked the state commandant for his supervisory roles which culminated in a transparent elections.
