The Patron of Kogi State chapter of the Nigeria Institute of Town planners Alhaji Isa Ichaba says this year’s celebration of the world Town planners Day focuses on all encompassing planning around the world
Alhaji Ichaba stated this while speaking with our reporter in Lokoja, said the celebration sums up the focus of planning which includes the environment, land, water and renovations.
According to him, the purpose of planning is to ensure that everyone has everything in abundance which ensures equity.
He noted that proper planning must encompass the rich, the poor and the youth so as to enable better planning ahead that with bring development into the state and Nigeria at large.
The patron explained that the theme of this year’s celebration is,”planning for equity, biodiversity and inclusion”
Also speaking the chairman kogi state chapter of the Nigeria Institute of Town planners Doctor Adams Baba said the world Town planners Day is a day set aside to comomorate the activities of physical planning inline with global best practices.
He said the day also brings to the attention of the public and government the essence of planning and creating a habitable community.
In a remark a fellow of the Nigeria institute of town planners Tpl Sani Daniel the focus of the marking is to rebuild, restructure and generate more planning idears.
