TINUBU SUPPORT GROUP/SENATOR KARIMI 2025 BURSARY UPDATE

The Central Organizing Committee of the Tinubu Support Group/Senator Karimi 2025 bursary, an initiative by Sen. Sunday Steve Karimi, the senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, in conjunction with the Tinubu Support Group, to support the administration and reelection bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is glad to inform the general public, especially those who applied for the bursary award and who have been patiently awaiting disbursement, that the verification stage by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has been completed and communicated to the committee accordingly.

At the close of the application, a total of 10,465 applications were received. Upon sorting and evaluation, the Central Committee discovered that there were many duplicate applications through the BVN, which were sorted and this led to downward adjustment to 9044 applications which was subsequently communicated to JAMB for confirmation of genuineness of admission and studentship. The report has now been received.

The report from JAMB confirmed that out of the 9,044 names it received for verification, 149 were confirmed without admission; 4,224 were confirmed to have submitted invalid registration numbers; and 4,671 were confirmed to have been duly admitted.

The report from JAMB has been communicated to the local government subcommittee to commence the last stage of screening and submission of their recommendations for the 3,000 prospective beneficiaries. Kogi West will have 1,390 slots, Kogi East will have 1,000 slots, and Kogi Central will have 610 slots. Each successful applicant will receive a bursary of 100,000 naira each.

The Central Committee is aware that there are some institutions that give admissions without JAMB numbers and assures those in this category not to panic as they are well captured. They affirm their commitment to the success of this project, ensuring transparency, fairness, accountability, and respect are accorded to applicants throughout the process to uphold the integrity and respect commanded by the organizers.
