Tinubu/Ododo 2027 Business Support Grant Empowers 6 More Entrepreneurs as Beneficiaries Cross 100 Mark

The Tinubu/Ododo 2027 Continuity Business Support Grant on Monday recorded another major milestone with the empowerment of six additional entrepreneurs across Kogi State, pushing the total number of beneficiaries to well over 100.
The symbolic cheque presentation was held at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Lokoja, during a combined ceremony organized by the Kogi Enterprise Development Agency, KEDA, for the distribution of Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC, certificates to beneficiaries and the official launch of the SMEs Business Support Cooperative.
Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, was represented at the event by the Deputy Governor, His Excellency Elder Joel Salifu Oyibo. The Director-General of KEDA, Alhaji Mohammed Kadiri Okeji, hosted the event.
The latest disbursement was facilitated by the sponsor of the grant and Honourable Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris, FCA, as part of efforts to deepen entrepreneurship, youth empowerment and economic development in the state.
On behalf of the Coordinator of the Tinubu/Ododo 2027 Continuity Business Support Grant, the Deputy Governor presented cheques to the beneficiaries in the presence of government officials, business stakeholders and other invited guests.
The six new beneficiaries are:
– Mrs. Yinka Paul – Yagba East LGA – N500,000
– Miss Elizabeth Olayemi – Yagba East LGA – N500,000
– Mr. Alaba Dare popularly known as 9ice – Yagba East LGA – N500,000
– Mr. Agunbiade John Kolawole – Yagba East LGA – N500,000
– Mr. Olajide Favour Onize – Okene LGA – N500,000
– Mr. Johnson Jimoh – Olamaboro LGA – N1,000,000
Speaking at the event, organizers said the continued disbursement underscores the sustained impact of the grant, which has been providing financial support to micro, small and medium-scale entrepreneurs across the state to expand their businesses, create jobs and boost economic growth.
The initiative also reaffirmed its commitment to complementing the business-friendly policies of the Ododo administration by delivering practical support that enhances enterprise development, wealth creation and sustainable livelihoods.
