Former Staff of Nigeria Port Authority (NPA), Bin- Ebaiya Shehu Tijani (BEST) has clinched the ticket of the All Progressive Congress (APC) to contest for the Lokoja 1 state constituency.
Best was declared winner of the APC State Assembly Primaries held on Thursday at the Amusement Park, Lokoja when he polled 25 votes against his sole opponent, Amale Aliu who scored zero.
An elated Best eulogised the delegates from the five wards that made up the Constituency, assuring that APC members of justifying the confidence reposed in him.
“I will not let you down. This journey will surely ends in victory at the general poll. I am confident of winning the election for my party.
In a similar development, Aliu Yusuf Umar also won the APC ticket for Lokoja 11 state constituency, in an election conducted at the same venue; picking all the 25 delegates votes.
There is no governorship primary in Kogi as the state is on off – circle election period.
