The Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Govt Area, Alh. Taufiq Isa has sworn-in newly appointed secretary, four supervisory councillors, SSA’s, Chief of Staff, Special Asistants.
The ceremony which took place at the local govt secretariat, Iyara, featured youths groups, drummers and dancers at the colourful occassion.
In his opening remarks, the Chairman charged all appointees to be diligent and be hardworking in their various assignments.
He however urged the appointees to remain committed to the ruling party, the APC and the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, saying that being committed to their people at various Ward would further enhanced the chances of the party.
The Chairman thanked all that attended the ceremony, assuring them to continue to provide the people with quality leadership.
The officiating legal lumininary, Barr. Mary Isaac administered oath taking of the Secretary, supervisors, special asistants.
Those inaugurated are Adekunle Alex as Secretary, H.M Bola Oshe supervisor for health, Mr. Sucess Asibiojo as supervisor for Agriculure, the present Vice Chairman, mrs Otitolaye Toyin
incharge of Finance while Othman Halidu was re-appointed as SSA, Legislative Matters & Publicity.
On behalf of the appointees, the secretary thanked the Executive chairman for deeming it fit to consider them for the job.
According to him, “on behalf of all appointees, i sincerely thanked our Executive Chairman for considering us for this appointments, we are indeed grateful “, he said.
