Alhaji Usman Obaje, the Ejeh Dekina,has implored members of the National Association of the Nigerian Traditional Medicine Practitioners(NANTMP), and the Traditional Medicine Practitioners Association (TMPA), to uphold the ethos of the Practice in the discharge of their duties for the benefits of mankind.
The Ejeh Dekina disclosed this in his Dekina palace while playing host to the State President of Nantmp/ Tmpa, Chief Dr, Obele Isah with the elected members of the Association in Dekina local Government area of kogi State,for Innuaguration and homage,Monday 14 March ,2022.According to him, traditional Medicine practice was a long age practice that has survived from generations to generation with the sole aim to provide solutions to health challenges bedeviling mankind. Called on members of the Association to sustain the core values of the Practice and eschew all destructive tendencies no matter what they might be tempted with,he warned.
The Ejeh also task the Newly innuagurated Chairman,Dr. Abrahaman Husseini to pilot the affairs of the Association with the fear of God and to also unites all members to enable the Association achieve it goals and to ensure that the numerical strength of Dekina local government area is also felt amongst the Association both at the State and National level.
Speaking earlier, the State President of the Association,Dr. Isah Obele, revealed that, the Innuaguration Ceremony of executive members of the Dekina local government area chapter of the Association, was the products of the elections conducted on 29 January,2022 at the premises of the state art and culture,Lokoja, in which Dr. Abrahaman Husseini and other executive members emerged winner, after securing the highest vote in a keenly contested election, Calling on all members of the Association to as a matter of duty and responsibility accord them the due respect, honour and loyalty to enable the Association move forward.
He further noted that, in kogi state, the Traditional Medicine Practitioners Association (TMPA),was the only recognized Traditional Medicine Practitioners body with the legal backing to operates and all Practitioners must identity with the association before engaging in traditional Medicine practice.
In his Speech,Dr.Abrahaman expressed delight and gratitude to members for their supports and cooperation,he also applauded the Ejeh Dekina,Dr.Alhaji Usman Obaje for giving them audience,inspite, of his tite schedule, promising to lead the association with the fear of God and ensure all members are carried along to enable the Association achieve it sets goals. ….
