conversations across Kogi West Senatorial District have increasingly centered on the importance of preserving the people’s democratic mandate and ensuring that the choice of leadership remains firmly in the hands of the electorate.

Supporters of Senator Sunday Steve Karimi said have continued to express confidence that the widespread acceptance he enjoys across the district reflects the appreciation of many constituents for what they describe as effective, accessible, and people-focused representation. They argue that his legislative contributions, empowerment programmes, educational support initiatives, constituency projects, and regular engagement with the grassroots have strengthened public trust and inspired growing calls for continuity.

According to the supporters, no political alliance, influential interest group, or perceived cabal should be allowed to determine the political destiny of Kogi West against the wishes of its people. They emphasized that democracy flourishes only when the electorate is free to make decisions without intimidation, undue influence, or manipulation, adding that the voices of ordinary citizens must always remain superior to political calculations.

The supporters further stated that the senator’s popularity continues to grow because of what they see as his commitment to inclusive leadership and his consistent efforts to attract meaningful opportunities and development to communities across the senatorial district. They believe these achievements have earned him the confidence of many residents who desire sustained progress and stability.

Expressing their personal faith, many supporters also said they believe Senator Karimi’s re-election bid aligns with God’s purpose and with the aspirations of a significant number of people across Kogi West. They maintained that while elections must be conducted peacefully and in accordance with the law, they are confident that no political arrangement can ultimately prevail over the freely expressed will of the electorate.

They therefore appealed to party faithful, community leaders, youths, women, and all eligible voters to remain united, uphold peace, and participate responsibly in the democratic process. They urged political actors to focus on ideas, programmes, and development-oriented campaigns rather than divisive rhetoric capable of undermining the unity and progress of the district.

As anticipation continues to build ahead of the next election cycle, supporters remain optimistic that the people of Kogi West will once again exercise their constitutional right to choose the leadership they believe will best advance the interests of the senatorial district, reaffirming their conviction that the destiny of Kogi West will ultimately be shaped by the collective decision of its people.
