A Benin born entrepreneur, Mr. Belvis Paul Igbinoba has joined the league of foreign based Nigerians in Diaspora who have decided to invest at home.

Mr. Igbinoba who is based in Canada is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Africa Computer and Technology Literacy Awareness Programme (ACTLAP), a company who are into Mobile phone manufacturing and solar panel technology.

To support his home coming and his investment in Benin City, a Benin Solidarity Movement (BSM) Worldwide, a Social Cultural and Non-Political Pressure Group, has appeal to the duo of Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki and the Oba of Benin Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Omo Oba N’ Edo, Uku Akpolokplor, Oba Ewuare II to support ACTLAP Company to actualize its dream of establishing a mobile phone manufacturing industry in Benin City, Edo State capital.

Africa Computer and Technology Literacy Awareness Programme (ACTLAP) is a Canada based mobile phones manufacturing company is owned by a Benin Son, Belvis Paul Igbinoba.

A visit to the permanent site of the company by the President Benin Solidarity Movement (BSM) Worldwide, Elder Curtis who led other members of the Movement on a working tour called on Edo people to encourage Belvis Paul Igbinoba to actualize his dream of investing at home, Edo state to establish such a gigantic manufacturing company they can employed over 5000 youths of Edo state.

Elder Ugbo said, “This our brother is based in Canada, he has decided to bring investment back home. He is the brain behind ACTLAP manufacturing company, producer of mobile phone “LUMIGON T3”. He is also into solar panel, he has the capacity to manufacture solar street light and generate solar electricity light that can serve the whole of Oredo, Egor, Ikpoba Okha if not the whole of Edo South Senatorial district.

“We should begin to encourage our brothers, sisters coming home from the Diaspora to invest their wealth, experience and resources into the development of our state, Edo.

“We are tired of PUWOV job, we need people that can produced mobile phone, we are quite aware of the number of jobs this industry, ACTLAP to going to create in the state, he deserves encouragement.

“I want to also use this medium to appeal to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, our highly respected Royal Father, Omo N’ Oba N’ Edo, Uku Akoolokpolor, Oba Ewuare II, Oba of Benin to support this our worthy son, true son of the Benin Kingdom who has distinguished himself by coming home to invest in his fatherland.

Elder Ugbo also appeal to His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare II to prevail on those who are disrupting the construction at the permanent site of ACTLAP manufacturing company at Ovbioge Community, Opp. Ekiadolor Junction, Benin City.

“Our Royal Majesty, please sir, prevail on those that are against the establishment of ACTLAP manufacturing company at Ovbioge Community, Opp. Ekiadolor Junction, Benin City to desist from doing so as this is going to empower about 5000 youths in the state,” Elder Ugbo appealed.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), ACTLAP Manufacturing Company, Belvis Paul Igbinoba explained what motivated him to come all the way from Canada to invest in Nigeria.

“As a bona fide son of Benin Kingdom, it is my pleasure to bring a project of the magnitude to Benin, my ancestral home. We have been in oversees, we traveled all over the world. Benin people are known as people who has travelled to oversees a lot.

“This is what state, federal and even community governments in Nigeria has been encouraging those of us in Diaspora, l mean we that have gone to oversee and have see some of the good things that are happening over their and see the need to come in and bridge the gap.

“Is being been difficult but we are using this opportunity to set up the manufacturing company in Nigeria, the best place to establoshed it to is my home, my state, Edo.

“The project we are doing here is ACTLAP permanent site. The bottom line is that we want to bring the best technology around the world home and see how we can actually produced this mobile phones and solar panel ourselves at home.

“At present. we partner with numbers of technology companies around the world especially in Denmark and Canada.

“These are technology you cannot produced without electricity power and it is very difficult thing on how to being it to Nigeria that is what are doing. So, we are taking the risk and we believe it is a calculated rick to us to do.

Going further Paul Igbinoba added, “We can not only provide employment for a larger number of our people but also impact knowledge, teach them how to make these mobile phones, it is transfer of technology and transfer of knowledge.

“We have projects coming up in Benue, Ogun and Adamawa states and we are hoping that soon, we will be able to build same power in Benin City, Edo State with the partnership of the state government.

The ACTLAP CEO thanked everybody that has been supportive in one way or the other in actualizing his dream for SSO people.

“I want to thank everybody that has been in support of this project most especially the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II who has graciously allowed and us to go back to work from last year 2020.

“The property you see today was courtesy of the good will and the donation of His Royal Majesty, Oba Erediauwa of blessed memory and was confirmed by the present Oba. Oba Ewuare II.

“I also want to thank the host communities even though we have a little confrontation here and there with one or two persons. We are not here to confront anybody but we want a situation where we can bring the communities together, a situation we can come together, work in one accord and make Benin City a better place so that we can collectively provide jobs for the youth of Edo state,” he concluded.
