Solid Minerals Commissioner, Engr. Bashiru Visit, Engages Kogi Speaker, Rt. Hon. Umar Aliyu, Discussion Centred on Development.
The Kogi State Commissioner For Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr Bashiru Gegu, has paid a courtesy visit to the Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Umar Aliyu.
The visit by the Commissioner to the Speaker was to wish him quick recovery from his recent health challenges.
During our meeting, the two leaders discussed various issues affecting Lokoja Kogi Federal constituency and the State at large.
The leaders at the meeting stressed on the importance of collaborative efforts between the legislative and executive arms of government to drive development and progress in the state.
Furthermore, the Commissioner used the opportunity to discuss some pressing issues affecting the constituency, sought the Speaker’s intervention in addressing them.
The Commissioner and the Speaked also exchanged views on the way forward for the state and the need for sustainable development initiatives.
Engr. Bashiru appreciated the Speaker’s warmth and willingness to engage in constructive discussions, wish him a speedy recovery and continued good health.
The Commissioner pointed out that he believes that through collective efforts, they can build a brighter future for the state and Federal Constituency.
