A publication making rounds in the media directly has the words of Senator Representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Senator Smart Adeyemi, badmouthing the workaholic Kogi State Chief of Staff, Pharm. Adbulkareem Asuku Jamiu.
In the statement, Smart Adeyemi said and I quote: “As for me, I believe for now, nobody should talk about Governorship ambition or power shift. Nobody should be doing one program or another to curry favour for the guber ticket; weather school competition, debate or whatever disguised programs, because the presidential ambition of the governor should be the paramount. Any appointees or political players that is doing such is an enemy of the governor. Such person does not love the governor because it shows inconsideration to the governor’s ambition”
The statement above is not only outrageous, but totally out of place coming from a senator without tangible achievements to his name after two years in office. The real enemy of the Governor is a senator whose election was hundred percent sponsored by Governor Yahaya Bello, and he is busy going about sponsoring a Kogi West agenda to buttress his inordinate ambition to become Governor come 2024. Smart Adeyemi is only an ingrate rescued from bankruptcy and total collapse, and has now turn around to bit the fingers that once fed him. This approach of sponsoring one region against the other is a huge stain on the unification agenda of His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello.
In our archives are the ninety nine sins of Smart Adeyemi ready to be unleashed if the diaspora senator refused to down his gun and quit distracting a working youth integrator and lifter such as Pharm. Asuku.
Dear people of Kogi West, where was your Senator during the flood crises? Where was your Senator during the Lokoja tanker explosion that claimed many lives?
Senator Smart managed to honor the first invitation from his people by attending the just concluded Iyara Day celebration, and that was where he pointed accusing fingers at someone with track full of records in just two years in office as CoS to the Governor.
What Asuku is doing in the state is only a reflection of what he is and not in any way trying to gain favor of becoming Governor. If Smart Adeyemi is being intimidated by Asuku’s performances, we urge him to seek for medications and concentrate his energy to providing dividends of democracy to the good people of Kogi West.

Iyara his home town is in a sorry state as no much Government presence is felt for a man who has spent 12years at Federal level. Well, who are we to agitate him bringing dividends of democracy to home town when he only recently completed his private residence which has been a laughing stock for years.
The people of Kogi West deserves quality representative at all times, and a Senator representing a region should not be only seen in public when there is need to sponsor a personal agenda out of the needs of the people he is supposed to be representing. We are therefore demanding for a score from the Kogi West Senator, else we make public his ninety nine sins without any further delay.
