Senator Ishaku Abbo resigns from APC’s presidential flag bearer’s support group due to the Muslim-Muslim ticket.


 

After Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced that Senator Kashim Ibrahim Shettima is his Vice Presidential running mate, Senator Ishaku Abbo who is representing Adamawa North in the Red Chamber has reportedly resigned from the APC’s presidential flag bearer’s support group due to the Muslim-Muslim ticket.

This news came less than 24 hours after Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced that the former Governor of Borno State, Senator Kashim Ibrahim Shettima as his running mate.

Reports emanating from Peoples’ Gazette implies that Senator Abbo is angry that Tinubu chose a Muslim-Muslim ticket and so, has withdrawn from the support group.

Furthermore, Peoples’ Gazette also reports that the Senator kicked against the Muslim-Muslim ticket .

According to Senator Ishaku Abbo, he said that his conscience will not allow him to support the Muslim-Muslim candidacy of Tinubu.

He also said that his conscience will not allow him to campaign for Tinubu.

He also announced that he wasn’t just a Christian but belongs to the association of Christian Association of Nigeria.

“I’m a member of Christian Association Of Nigeria; I cannot deny CAN.” he said.

Be that ass it may, he said that he is still.a member of the All Progressives Congress when though he will not be supporting the Tinubu-Kashim ticket.

“I remain in All Progressive Congress. But I will take the survival of my country first over political considerations,” said Mr Abbo.
