The Honourable Commissioner of Finance,Budget and Economic planning, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris,FCA has congratulated his principal and mentor, Governor Yahaya Bello on his well deserved award conferred on him by the senate press corps as the “Best Governor on Security”, saying its meritorious, a revalidation of fact and a testament to the premium placed on security of lives and properties by the New Direction administration.
Asiwaju discribed the prestigious award from a critical quarter like fourth estate of the realm in the senate as unprecedented and a milestones that has further reinforced Governor Yahaya Bello as a security czar with the right strategic approaches to the hydra-headed insecurity challenges facing the whole nation. This is an award in the series of laurels he has received from reputable organisations, rather than having the feeling of a champion by lowering his guards, with renewed vigour, he championed further, a secured and peaceful state.
In his words, ” The disturbing insecurity situation in the nation and the sub-nationals, which has resulted to wanton loss of lives and properties, no doubt , requires a proactive hand and measures to mitigate. Kidnapping, banditry, insurgency, secessionist, criminalities and heardmen/Farmers clash is rife causing havoc and disrupting the social, economical and political stability of the State’s, hence, it imperative a leader like GYB with the midas touch and antidote to insecurity should be allowed to engender a New Nigeria as desired by all”.

According to the commissioner, today in Kogi state we are enjoying relative peace and harmony which has yielded great results of unity and development, all thanks to Governor Yahaya Bello’s relentless effort that has made the confluence state a hotbed and an uncomfortable haven for criminal and criminalities to thrive. He can sure replicate these stellar records at the national level, asiwaju stated.
