Sen. Natasha Recall Saga: Hon. Charity Ijese Omole Should Face the Consequences of the Law
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) State Youth Leader, Hon. Yunusa Halidu Adazaki, has strongly condemned the recall process initiated by members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who identified themselves as the Kogi Women Development Group, led by Hon. Charity Ijese Omole, Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Kogi State on Women and Youth Empowerment.
According to Hon. Adazaki, the recall process, which claimed to have come from the people of Kogi Central, was executed in an underhanded manner. Charity, who claimed to be both the spokesperson and leader of the group, has been repeatedly seen at various APC events and in countless pictures with APC Chieftain.
Hon. Yunusa Halidu Adazaki criticized the recall process as manipulative, arising from anger and frustration, as the Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has been performing beyond the expectations of the people. The recall petition falsely claimed that over 250,000 out of 480,000 registered voters had signed a demand for her removal, a claim that Hon. Yunusa Halidu Adazaki disputes.
The PDP State Youth Leader also urges the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to reject the fabricated recall, urging the commission to continue removing fraudulent petitions sponsored by political detractors.
Hon. Yunusa Halidu Adazaki reassured the good people of Kogi Central and Kogi State, stating that they remain solidly behind Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan. He urged the Central Senatorial District to stay calm and law-abiding as the fraudulent recall effort, backed by political opponents, fails to meet the necessary criteria for validation.
In conclusion, Hon. Yunusa Halidu Adazaki called on the federal government to investigate the sponsors of the recall, emphasizing that failure to do so will amount to disregard for the rule of law.
Signed:
Hon. Yunusa Halidu Adazaki
Kogi State PDP Youth Leader
