Sen. Karimi’s Bursary: I know nothing about where the funds disbursement is taking place – Hon. Kingsley Mokikon

Sen. Karimi’s Bursary: I know nothing about where the funds disbursement is taking place – Hon. Kingsley Mokikon

… Says he holds his hard earned reputation built over the years with integrity.

Hon. Mokikan Solomon Kingsley – Supervisor for Education, Kabba Bunu LGA has reacted to a spurious and unfounded allegations trending on a section of the social media made by one Taiwo Olorunhudo, alleging that the Sen. Sunday Karimi Students Bursary was compromised by the Bursary Sub Committee in Kabba Bunu LGA.

Hon. Kingsley said he served as the Secretary of the Bursary Sub Committee for Kabba Bunu LGA, described the allegations by the said Taiwo as malicious, wicked and unfounded.

While pointing out that from the onset, the Committee members were banned from applying either for their Children or family members for transparency, said all he did was to serve diligently for the success of Sen. Karimi, Kogi West and for humanity in the committee.

Hon. Kingsley said he is a man with proven integrity and records, described as unfortunate that the said Taiwo who is not a student and did not apply could raise such unnecessary alarm that is not true, urged him to come out publicly with evidences if he has any that linked him with the allegations of compromising the process.

According to Hon. Kingsley, “Taiwo alleged that Sen. Karimi didn’t pay up to 1000 people as claimed before the exercise”.

“He also alledged that it could be that the Committee members did not pay up to the number expected or syphoned the money”.

“Similarly, Hon. Kingsley further alleged that the Committee members removed the names of original beneficiary and could have replaced them with other persons who will return gratification to the Committee”.

Hon. Kingsley said, “Ordinarily I would not have responded to the rantings of a never do well who lacks integrity and has not build a name for himself”.

“The person in question lacks merit to challenge my integrity but for Senator Karimi’s good intentions not to be misconstrued. I’m challenging Taiwo Olorunhudo who mentioned my name in his video ranting to go and verify my integrity”.

” Let it be made clear that You can not use my hard earned name to promote yourself to stardom. You have missed it and allow you posterity to pay you back for your mischief”.

“Recalled that the Portal for students to apply was open for registration. A lot of people claimed to have applied, but their names were not captured”.

” Let me for the record and emphasis say that over 500 students applied from Kabba Bunu LGA. We were given their names to do the verification”.

” Our Subcommittee worked on the names presented to us as generated from the application. We the Committee members could not have manufacture names outside the list presented to us”.

“Our responsibility was to screen the names and arrive at the targeted 10 persons per Ward of 15 wards in Kabba Bunu making it a total of 150 students out of over 500 that applied from Kabba/Bunu LGA”.

“We painstakingly went through four different stages of screening to arrive at the final level and list of 150 students”.

” Let me add that during the screening we discovered some applicants were not even indigenes of Kogi State. So we first verified their origin making them not to be qualified”.

” We equally discovered that some students have already graduated,, some were in final year, and we were asked to screen such category of students out”.

” We submitted 150 names to the Central working committee for final computation.
As I speak, I don’t even know where the disbursing of funds is from and those who are responsible for the payment after submitting the list of qualified students”.

“I therefore challenge any beneficiary to come out and say, I Hon. Kingsley Mokikon demanded for a dime fome him or her. I don’t even know those who are the beneficiaries from Kabba Bunu LGA”.

“All I did in the committee was to only work for Sen. Karimi and humanity. For information of mischief makers like Taiwo, our children and family members are disqualified from the process for qualification”.

“The list of the beneficiaries will be published by the Central working Committee for which nobody from Kabba/Bunu is a Member so it would be foolhardy to insinuate allegations of compromise for one who over the years has spent all my life working to build a reputation that has been tested over the years”‘.

” For Taiwo, the recognition he is looking for can not be gotten from this his outburst. He should go and work hard to earn name. It is unfortunate though not surprising that his kind, maybe out of desperation and mischief purposes try to malign my hard earned integrity”.

” It is most unfortunate for Taiwo to have the wicked and satanic mindset to think that we replaced names of rightful beneficiaries for gratification. This shows that he obviously has criminal tendencies. It is important to State that the Bible made it clear that, “whatever a man thinks in his mind, so he is”

I therefore call Taiwo Olorunhudo to please begin to positively put his mind to work and not to impung on ones integrity that has been built over the years.

Hon Kingsley further said that the process of payment is still ongoing and not completed yet. That, it is too early to know who is going to be paid or not.

Hon. Kingsley therefore urged right thinking members of the public to disregard the video by Taiwo as it’s baseless and a figment of his imagination.
