The State Security Adviser to Kogi government, Hon. Jerry Omodara has urged all citizens in the state and in the country to take the issue of security as a collective responsibility to achieve peaceful coexistence.
Jerry made this known in a chat with newsmen recently in Lokoja, noting that government alone can not be left to tackle the safety of lives and property.
According to him, communual efforts through the collaboration of traditional rulers, hunters, youths and traders in past has helped in combating crimes in the country.
He further admonished that such communual collaboration must be re-deployed to help curb the security menace in the country.
Jerry commended the Gov. Yahaya Bello led administration for making security sector in the state and by extension the country a top priority.
This is evident he added, in the countless security awards he has won with national and international institutions.
Kogi security template he disclosed is widely been sorted after by other states and institutions which he said is a clear sign that our government is working and making exploits.
He appreciated the good people of the state for their cordial relationship in the area of security information, which he said has helped in the fight against insecurity in the state.
Commander Jerry further urged the people of the state to remain peaceful and continue with the cordial relationship with various state security agencies in State.
