Scores Dump SDP in Lokoja, Joins APC Because of Kogi Finance Commissioner.
The Kogi State Commissioner For Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Hon. Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris, FCA, today welcome scores of SDP Members from Lokoja LGA into the All progressive Congress, APC.
The defectors said their defection in the ruling APC is influenced by the leadership of the Finance Commissioner that has been responsive, responsible and has proven to be people centric in ideology.
The said they tend to navigate towards him, accept him as a leader and hope to use him as a ladder to progress, as reason for their joining the APC.
In their remarks, “When a political party is progressive and focused on the development of the land and improvement of the welfare and wellbeing of the people, without any cohesion, is the desire we would want to join such party”.
“Today, scores of people from lokoja Local government who are of SDP extraction have decided to leave their former party to pitch tent with the progressive family, APC through the leadership ladder of the honourable commissioner of finance, budget and economic planning, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris, FCA, they said”
” We are moved to join the progressive party, APC because of the humane and developmental leadership of His excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, FCA. He has not only changed the narratives in terms of governance, he has been able to foster unity and sense of inclusivity. We have decided to be part of this progressive family and we promise to be overtly dedicated.”
“We have decided to come through our leader and lover of lokoja people, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris, FCA because he’s a good ambassador of the government and governor at the grassroots”.
” He is very kind, compassionate, progressive and accessible. We will continue to stay loyal to this administration through his leadership line.”
In his remarks while receiving the defectors, Asiwaju Asiru Idris in his remarks, appreciated the new defectors, saying they have made the right decision because all the good governance indices and realities on the ground have shown that the have the right choice.
” What you have seen is just a tip of the iceberg. There is more to come. Under our amiable Governor, His Excellency, Ahmed Usman Ododo, FCA. There are top notch plans to advance human capital, improve infrastructure and also make living an ease for all.
“I will definitely let His Excellency, Gov. Ododo know that you have seen his good work and reason for joining the APC”, assured them of limitless opportunities.
