Former Kogi Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris has sent a message of congratulations to moslems on the occassion of this year’s Eid el Fitr Celebrations.
The Jakadan Sokoto urged Moslems to practice the lessons learnt from the just concluded spiritual obligation whose hallmark is love, discipline,charity and kindness.
He urged the Moslems to extend their celebrations to christian brothers and sisters,as their is love and good riddance in sharing with one another outside religious boundary.
In the same vein,former PDP Governorship Aspirant in Kogi state,Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Idris has asked the people of Kogi state not to use the occassion for merry making alone,but pray for Kogi state and Nigeria at large.
Abubakar Ibrahim Idris says the present developement in the country deserved solemn prayers and supplications towards peace and unity,as well as peaceful co-existence.
He urged the people to imbibe the good culture and practice of prophet Mohammed and the followers that is guided by the five pillars of Islam with Ramadan fast as one of the cardinal pillars.
He congratulated Moslems for witnessing this year’s occassion of Ramadan fast and Sallah Celebrations,praying for more years of such occassion.
