Rev Ugah Retires as UEC Minister

 


The Chairman of Idah Area Conference of the United Evangelical Church, Reverend John Ugah, will retire from active service as a minister of the Gospel on Sunday 25 August 2024.

A statement from the Chairman of the Publicity and Contact Committee for the retirement service of Reverend Ugah, Dr Gabriel Alhassan Ottah, said the programme would take place at the auditorium of the United Evangelical Headquarters Church in Idah, Kogi State, beginning from 9 o’clock in the morning.

Dr Ottah said, the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Elder Joel Salifu, would be the Special Guest of Honour.

During the Retirement Service, there would be a launch of John Ugah Retirement Foundation under the Chairmanship of the Global Ambassador, Commonwealth Entrepreneurs Club, United Kingdom, Dr Victor Alewo Adoji; while the Deputy Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola Egwaba, would be the Chairperson.

The Chief Executive Officer of Lona Holdings,Chief Kingsley Idoko Ilona, would be the Chief Launcher; while the Kogi State Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Hon Timothy Ojoma, would head the Co Launchers, supported by the Special Adviser to the Governor on War Against Drug Abuse and Trafficking, Hon Eunice Achimugwu.

Ata Igala and President Kogi State Council of Chiefs, Agabaidu Matthew Alaji Opaluwa Oguche Akpa, would be the Royal Father.

Chairman of Church Conference, Reverend Samuel Ebukeba, would lead other Reverend Ministers to officiate the retirement service.

Dr Ottah says guests will receive spiritual blessings through sermons, song ministration, thanksgiving and prayers and urges everyone one to be punctual.

Reverend Dr John Ugah attained retirement age after many years of dedicated service to God as a Minister of the Gospel with the United Evangelical Church. He had served in many capacities before coming to Idah about six years ago and would hit retirement in the capacity of the Idah Area Conference Chairman.
