Condemnation has trailed the recent Plans by some northern Islamic leaders in Benin city attempt to coronate lIdriss Adanno as the Sultan of Shuwa Arab of Edo state.
The youths in Benin City , said, the invitation by some northern Islamic leaders in Benin attempt to coronate /installation Idriss Adanno as the Sultan of Shuwa Arab of Edo state was a slap on their face.
The event according to the invitation is scheduled to take place on 21 August, 2021.
According to them, “such action can not be allowed to happen in Benin Kingdom, as its totally against our tradition .”
Reacting , the President Benin solidarity movement, BSM, worldwide Elder Curtis Eghosa Ugbo, said the Benins will do all it take to resist such evil act by few persons who are bent on creating trouble.
“This will never happen in Benin Kingdom, we are Benins”
Also reacting , the coordinator general, Great Benin Descendants, GBD, Imasuen Izoduwa noted GBD will meet on Wednesday and might sealed the venue of the event for allowing such ‘nonsense’ in the land.
“We will meet later today so we can sealed the venue by tomorrow or next for allowing such nonsense in our land. Enough is enough, I will no longer take any of this ‘shit’ in our Kingdom”
