Otunba Adeniyi Olayemi (So’Mi Edumare), Kogi West leading PDP Senatorial District Aspirant, has donated food items to the people of the district for Ramadan.
Otunba Adeniyi distributed the items to the beneficiaries, urged the faithfuls to use the period to pray for the state, particularly Kogi West Senatorial District.
Among the food items distributed by Otunba Adeniyi, were rice, beans, millet, sugar and milk.
Otunba Adeniyi said that the gesture was aimed at assisting the people to cushion the effect of the biting economy.
The Senatorial hopeful promised projects and purposeful representation that would have bearing on the people if elected, said very soon Kogi West Senatorial District would be a pride and envy to all.
Some of the beneficiaries of Otunba Adeniyi’s gesture, who spoke about the items, extolled his good gestures, describing it as unprecedented in the history of the Senatorial District during Ramadan.
“We really appreciate this kind gesture and we pray God grants him heart desires and cause the spirits of all the people he has provided food for pave greater ways for him,” they said.
Earlier in his Ramadan message, Otunba Adeniyi had urged Muslims to continue to promote peaceful coexistence, love and tolerance beyond Ramadan period.
He said meaningful development can only take place in an atmosphere devoid of rancour and acrimony.
He appealled to Muslim faithful to continue to embrace love and tolerance so that the Country can witness rapid growth and development.
“I urged you all to live in peace with one another and imbibe the spirit of tolerance for the progress of the Country, as no meaningful development can take place in a crisis-filled society”

“I therefore celebrate with all muslim faithfuls particularly in Kogi West Senatorial District and Nigeria at large, as we begin this year’s Ramadan fasting.
“It is my ultmost wish and prayer that the Almighty Allah bless you all with happiness and accept our acts of Ibadah during and after the fast.
