Ramadan: Kogi JNI Tasks Muslim clerics to adhere strictly to guidelines for conduct of Tafsir.
The Jamma’tul Nasril Islam, Kogi State Chapter has called on Muslim clerics to adhere strictly by the guidelines for the conduct of Tafsir in the forthcoming Ramadan.
The Chairman of Kogi state Jamma’tul Nasril Islam (JNI) Ambassador Usman Bello made the call during a press briefing at the Lokoja secretariat.
Ambassador Bello noted that the guidelines was enshrined to foster peaceful coexistence among the Muslim faithfuls.
He said scholars should have versed knowledge before engaging in Tafsir saying that the Qur’an should be explained in accordance to the true references of the Hadith and other relevant sources.
He urged them to desist from controversial issues that were capable of dividing the ummah and diverting attention from the problems affecting the ummah.
According to the guidelines, all preaches should address matters that would improve Muslims and the society and not for personal, sectarian or political purposes.
The JNI discouraged promotion of unverified religious rulings urging them to focus on proffering solutions to problems bothering the Muslims.
The Chairman, said part of the guidelines is teaching the correct methodology for zakat distribution throughout the blessed month adding that prayers for the Nation should be a priority.
The chairman of Jamma’tul Nasril Islam Ambassador Usman Bello enjoined Muslims to make effort to comprehend the message of the Qur’an saying that the Divine book was revealed in the month of Ramadan.
Ambassador Bello noted that supplication are well answered in this blessed month as such they should pray for the Nation.
He expressed his gratitude to Allah for sparing their Life urging them to make good use of the opportunity.
The Chairman expressed appreciation to Gov Usman Ahmed Ododo for his support to the two major religions in the State, assured of the prayers and support of the ummah
Highlights of the program was a Quranic recitation by the Amir of Federal university Teaching Hospital Alhaji Yakubu Sani.
In a brief admonition, the JNI Imam Sheikh Usman Tauhid encouraged Muslims to strive hard to attain piety as Ramadan is an avenue for such.
