Provost COETK Commiserates With Obaro of Kabba over father’s Death


The Provost College of Education Technical, Kabba, Mrs Victoria Olusola Jagboro, has sent a message to commiserate with the Obaro of Kabba, HRH, Oba Solomon Owoniyi over the death of his father, Pa Timothy Owoniyi.

The Provost described death as an inevitable end, described the late pa Owoniyi as a man who’s passion for the development of the Okun nation would forever be remembered.

Mrs. Victoria in the message of commiseration copied Newsmen, described the death of the father of the Obaro of Kabba and the Chairman Okun Area Traditional Council as shocking, coming at a time his wise counsel would have been most helpful for the growth and development of Okun nation.

She expressed sadness that the death is not only a big blow to the Okun nation, Kogi State but Nigeria as a whole, however urge the Royal father to take solace in the good life and a life well spent by his father.

While she prayed for God to grant the Royal father and the Royal family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss he prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of Pa Owoniyi.

The Provost said as painful as the loss of Pa Owoniyi is to the people, he thanked God for the children he left behind, and particularly paid glowing tributes to the leadership qualities of the Obaro of Kabba as a testament that late Pa Owoniyi brought up his children in the way of God, in discipline and virtues that is worthy of emulation.

Pa Owoniyi, the Father of the Obaro of Kabba died at age 85, after a brief illness today at Ile-Ife, Osun State where he lived for 65 years.

He is survived by two wives, 11 children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
