The immediate past Honourable Commissioner of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, who doubles as a formidable chieftain of the party, APC, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris,FCA has commended His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello for the proposed University to be situated in Okun land, saying such giant step is a lucid testament to His Excellencys inclusive Leadership style.
Asiwajus message is coming on the heels of an approval ratified at the State Executive Council on the proposed university in Okun land.
In his words ” Let me appreciate my Principal, Leader and mentor, His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello for showing once again his passionate love for the receptive people of Okun land via the speedy approval of a state University. It’s indeed a reinforced validity of his inherent values of Equity, Fairness and dedication to inclusiveness which are the hallmark of a working democratic system”
The consumate banker turned politician discribes His Excellency has a visionary leader and a democrat per excellence who believes in equal opportunity for all, regardless of tribal, class, religion and political difference. Since his emergence as the chief executive in the state, the long age walls of Marginalisation, pervading differences and bigotry of any kind has been broken down to give room for peaceful coexistence, unity and overall development of the state, Asiwaju stated.
In his words” The multiplier effect of the proposed university in terms of economic growth and accessibility to quality higher academic pursuit for the host community and beyond when it becomes reality, can not be overemphasised, therefore, this is a priceless gift Okun nation will forever be grateful for, saying that Governor Yahaya Bello’s name will linger long in the development tales of the kingdom. Mukadam said that this excellent gesture of a befitting citadel of learning will further spur the people of Okunland to strengthen their support and cooperation with the New Direction administration in her quest to deliver more dividends of democracy. He also plead to the intended committee when formed to get down to work immediately and make sure there is no delay in the implementation process that will see to the full establishment of the University.
He however appeal to Okun Nation to reciprocate this huge gesture of democratic dividends by sustaining their support and prayers for the New Direction Government led by His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello and also come out enmass to support APC and her candidate at the Gubernatorial election come November 11th.
