Prompt Payment of Salaries: Kogi NULGE Commends Gov. Ododo For Starting On Good Note, Demands Implementation, Cash Backing of Promotion
The Kogi State President, Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, Comr. Tade Adeyemi, has praised the administration of Gov. Ahmed Usman Ododo for prompt payment of salaries, but like Oliver Twist, called for the implementation and cash backing of promotion arrears for LG workers.
Comr. Tade made the disclosure and commendation following the payment of 80% as salaries to LG workers, pointing out that Gov. Ododo has started on a good note.
Comr. Tade while appreciating the present administration for an improvement in the percentage payment to LG workers, equally demanded for the full implementation and the cash backings of promotion arrears.
Comr. Tade expressed optimism that Gov. Ododo will at the end of his tenure wipe away the tears of LG workers through Improved welfare for LG workers, pointing out that the early steps of the Governor are indicative that more goodies awaits the LG workers.
