The Special Adviser Political Matters in Niger State has expressed satisfaction with the peaceful political atmosphere existing in the state despite divergent political views.
Hon.Nma Kolo said in a statement made available to Journalists in Minna on Friday that in spite of the divergent political views,the leadership of the registered political parties and their members have been exhibiting the highest degree of decorum which has made the state one of the most peaceful in the country.
Hon. Kolo stated that the primaries of all the political parties were conducted under peaceful atmosphere with winners being magnanimous in their victories and losers accepting their defeat as an act of God.
” There is no doubt that the peaceful conduct of all the political parties has made the state the destination of first choice for investors both local and International.
He however enjoined the political class to ensure they continue with the situation, especially now that full blown campaign will soon commence.
“We should remember that we have no other state than Niger state and that for the state to continue to record economic and social growth the political actors must act with decorum and sincerity of purpose and also put their followers and supporters under constant check”.
Meanwhile, i want to use this opportunity to commend all our security agencies for their tremendous efforts they have put in place to restore peace in parts of the state,which have been under the control of armed bandits and terrorists in the past.
According to him “our security agencies have make life worth living for the ordinary Nigerlite in the recent times, hence need for commendation”.
It is also noteworthy that your ability to restore peace to Bandits infested areas has made it possible for many of our locals to return to their ancestral homes and to gainful living.
He assures that the state government will continue to give them the necessary wherewithal to ensure the performance of their assignments without hindrance.
